Many people have learned to stay silent at the very time when the organization needs all the voices it can muster. An elephant or some other large and looming issue can be in the room with us, but no one will mention it out loud. No one wants to look stupid, offend a supervisor or compete with a stronger-willed louder staff member. Worse yet, they may feel that they are wasting their breath.
This session will introduce a five point model for insuring open, inclusive dialogue in groups. We'll explore:
- examples of how to 'say it' and what it takes to have the courage to speak up when you disagree;
- why fostering open, candid dialogue is so important to organizational success; and
- why candid dialogue is critical to creativity, innovation, and collaboration.
